Daniela Silberman is presently a free-lance Sustainable Design Consultant based in Barcelona. Her focus is on the re-evaluation of the life-cycle of products, concepts and spaces based on environmental and social criteria. She completed a MA in Design Futures from Goldsmiths College, London in 2004, preceded by an Ecodesign Postgraduate Degree from Elisava School of Design, Barcelona in 2003. She lived in New York for several years where she completed a BA in Fine Arts from Bard College, and an apprenticeship at Sonnabend Gallery, New York City. She went on to work as Registrar, Archivist and Sales Assistant at fine art and photography galleries; John Berggruen Gallery, Fraenkel Gallery, Sonnabend Gallery and The American Illustrators Gallery, in San Francisco and New York, whilst doing a furniture restoration apprenticeship with Philippe Avila Restoration Studio.
